Did you ever wonder what happened to lost and unclaimed baggage from the airport? It goes to the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro, Alabama.
I actually shopped at the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro last year... some items are very cheap and no wonder people didn't bother to go back for them; but other items are quite nice. There are lots of jewelery, luggage, portfolios, clothes of all sorts, laptop attachments, cameras, coats, books, music, watches, knick-knacks of all sorts, blankets, pillows and even large items like refrigerators, ovens, generators, etc.
I bought some nice old bags I use now for moving computer equipment around. We also bought some nice artsy stuff and books and purses and a couple of baggies full of interesting key chains.
