Ossian Killer Pleas

Fort Wayne man admits to manslaughter

In October 2006, the body of Debra Wilson, 45, was found inside her single-story house in Ossian. Wilson’s 21-year-old daughter discovered the body.

Wells County Coroner Doug Cale said an autopsy revealed she died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Wilson’s death became the first homicide in Ossian in recent memory, and the first in Wells County in just more than a decade.

Witnesses told police they saw a man carrying a laundry basket leave Wilson’s home Oct. 10, 2006, walking toward Indiana 1. Arrested in December, Brabson was identified on a video taken inside a Fort Wayne store while he shopped with Wilson.

No trial. He pleads to a Class A Felony and doesn't stand trial for murder.
