I hear all over the place that the President is willing to drop the public funding of health care in order to get more Republicans on board... the thing is, everything the President says is words, he has nothing on paper beyond the House bill everyone talks about and some ongoing discussions in the Senate. So when the media talks about giving up the public funding, the government run, option.. it's not like anyone is taking out a Bi on paper and striking out any words... this is what's so strange about all these town halls and all the presidential speeches: He seems to be making it up as he goes along... does he have a czar somewhere off in the wings keeping track of his promises? An honesty czar?
If the bill everyone was discussing was small and easily read, we wouldn't have to worry that despite public discussion, the end result will be totally different.
