Budget Cuts at Norwell

Wane TV covers the budget shortfall at Northern Wells Community Schools, where enrollment has reduced while staff has increased.  If you click on the link, you can see a pic of Mr. Baumgartner and Mr. Windmiller... retired teachers we Ossian kids surely remember well.

Why does it cost so much more to educate kids these days?  Here's some thoughts on that, mostly dealing with Federal, State and Local governments piling mandates onto the schools without regard for cost.
